Une romance sapphic avec un age gap ? Je dis oui ! Meryl Wilsner donne le tout pour le tout dans cette romance érotique et surprenante. Lorsque Cassie Klein décide d'aller dans un bar durant ses vacances, elle tombe sur une femme magnifique, qui l'attire immédiatement. Après une one-night qu'elle ne peut oublier, elle rejoint sa meilleure amie pour un brunch avec la mère de cette dernière. Mais surprise : Erin Bennett est cette mystérieuse étrangère. Dévastée. elles tentent de ravaler toutes les deux cette tension, l'attraction est malheureusement trop forte et les sentiments prennent une place beaucoup trop importante. Ce récit avait tout pour me plaire : la trope, l'ambiance, l'originalité et la relation unique d'Erin et Cassie. Cependant, malgré tous ses qualités immenses et plutôt promotteuses, le nombre incalculable de scènes sexuelles enlève un possible approfondissement des personnages et de leurs relations, ce qui apporte quelquefois du surréaliste. Meryl à une plume superbe et, heureusement ! Ce qui accroche le lecteur et ce, à travers un humour subtil et des réactions humaines.

Mistakes Were Made est une bonne lecture, sans plus.

Une romance trop érotique qui gâche le côté adorable.
