est une étudiante talentueuse qui a déjà son avenir tracé, doué et calme, elle enchaîne les excellences. jusqu'au jour où la populaire Shara Wheeler l'embrasse et disparaît sans donner de nouvelles. Chloe se retrouver à partir à la recherche avec Smith, le petit ami de celle-ci et son voisin, Rory. D'indice en indice, leur vie va prendre un tournant impressionnant et se comprendre eux-mêmes. Une trope rival-to-lover, une romance pleine de mystère, des personnages secondaires queer et une histoire unique, I kissed Shara Wheeler, c'est une aventure sur la fin de l'adolescence, sur ses questions qui reste sans réponse. La religion chrétienne et l'homosexualité sont abordées de manière réalisme, dans l'humour et la tendresse. Ce roman à cette ambiance de roomcom et des films des années 2000, offre le goût de la nostalgie avec ses petits clichés et sa modernité. J'ai dévoré ce bouquin sans culpabilité.

Une histoire qui pousse le lecteur dans une quête des plus improbables.

Casey McQuiston est une valeur sûr et le prouve pour une troisième fois.
